Can I use System Mechanic Professional with NVIDIA ActiveArmor/NVFirewall?
Answer
There is no known conflict between System Mechanic Professional and NVIDIA® ActiveArmor™, however, running multiple firewalls on the same system is not recommended as they may interfere with one another. Two options are available for working around this issue:
Continue Using NVIDIA ActiveArmor
During installation of System Mechanic, clear the box corresponding to iolo Personal Firewall. This will ensure that you are able to use NVIDIA ActiveArmor, and all of System Mechanic's features simultaneously.
Switch to iolo Personal Firewall
If you would like to switch to using iolo Personal Firewall as your solution, the NVIDIA ActiveArmor firewall must first be disabled.
Disabling NVIDIA ActiveArmor/NVFirewall
- Double-click the NVFirewall™ icon from the system tray to display the summary menu.
- From the Current Firewall Profile list select Off. A confirmation box will appear.
- Click Change Profile to disable NVFirewall.
- Install and run iolo Personal Firewall.
